Description
This is a limited edition print of Thunderbolts & Lightnings by Nicolas Trudigan. The description accompanying the print reads: “Ninth Air Force P47 Thunderbolts of the 404th Fighter Group, in company with P38 Lightnings, support the advancing armor of General George Patton’s US Third Army as the prepare to relieve the battered 101st Airborne Division from their heroic defence of Bastogne during the final climax of the Battle of the Bulge, 24 December 1944.” Two plane names are visible: the Saucy Susie, and the Big Ass Bird.
The outer dimensions of the print are 30 1/2″ x 23 5/8″. The cream colored area of the print, including the title, description and signature, is 26 5/8″ x 19 1/4″. The image itself is 24″ x 14″. This print has only been on display in-store and has never been framed.
This print is hand signed and numbered by the artist, and is print 207/350. It is also hand signed by First Lieutenant Howard M Park and Sergeant William True.
