This is a limited edition print of D-Day Armada by Nicolas Trudigan, from the Aces Edition. The description accompanying the print reads: “As the sun begins to sink on the late afternoon of D-Day Plus 1, a mighty Allied aerial armada heads inland over the Normandy invasion beaches, 7 June 1944. In the company of P51s of the 354th Fighter Group, B26 Marauders from the 397th Bomb Group prepare to bomb heavily defended German positions lying ahead of the Allied advance up from the beach-head.”
The outer dimensions of the print are 35 1/4 x 23 5/8″”. The cream colored area of the print, including the title, description and signature, is 31 5/16″ x 19 1/4″. The image itself is 28 11/16″ x 16″. This print has only been on display in-store and has never been framed.
This print is hand signed and numbered by the artist, and is print 109/300 of the Aces Edition. It is also hand signed by Captain Clayton Gross, Colonel Maurice, Long and Major General Donald Straight. It comes with a Certificate of Authenticity issued by The Military Gallery.
